You are probably wondering what does Mexico real estate have to do with starting or running an online business? As I’ve often mentioned on this site, I believe one of the keys to my own success has been knowing how and when to step away from work to prevent myself from burning out; or getting tunnle vision on my projects.
Early on this was time I’d spend in my garden, or forcing myself to socialize more. And of course, the more success you have, the bigger and better your fun time adventures can be. I still enjoy putzing in the garden constantly, but for quite a while now I’ve wanted to do a bit more traveling and vacationing.
My father owns a lot on a large vacation resort in Mexico, so my first thoughts were to maybe “ask Dad for the keys” and get away for a few days once in a while now that I’m in a position to do so.
But when I started looking at similar tourist and resort spots along the coast of Mexico I found that it’s actually very affordable, so now I’m considering investing on my own in some real estate in Mexico rather than just using my father’s.
There are tons of established and growing developments right on the western coast of Mexico that I see opportunities with, but so far the one that has really caught my eye is Brisas Vallarta, in Puerto Vallarta. Not only does the Puerto Vallarta real estate market seem reasonable to me, but the offerings at Brisas Vallarta range from open lots to full condos and villas. Since I’m not sure if I’d want to deal with doing my own building on a lot like my father did, the condos or villas are looking pretty good to me so far.
The reason I wanted to share this here is to show that with focus and hard work, even a dumb guy from Pittsburgh can do pretty well for himself with an online business. And if I can get to this point anybody can. Whether you want to travel the country, see the world or even own a little real estate in Mexico, the only thing that can stand in your way is yourself.
