Only fools don’t use tools

I love tools and widgets! They exist to make life, tasks and work easier for us, so as the saying goes, you should “smoke ‘em if you got ‘em”.

Since I spend the bulk of my work hours viewing either my email program or my web browser, it only makes sense that I use add-on tools for these applications that assist me in what I need to do each day, and greatly improve my productivity.

Here’s a quick list of a few free add-ons for the FireFox web browser (if you aren’t using FireFox you should be!) that I’d suggest anyone doing any kind of online marketing or business have:

Blue Dot - Blue Dot is a social bookmarking site that can drive large volumes of traffic to your pages if you provide quality content, having this add-on allows you to submit any web page you’re viewing to Blue Dot at any time

StumbleUpon - Another social bookmarking site that can drive high traffic to your pages, works like the Blue Dot add-on above

Google Toolbar for FireFox - I’m always having to lookup stuff, this lets me do it from any web page rather than having to visit Google.com first

Google Notebook - store information and notes for anything, anywhere (great for when visiting a new site that sparks an idea for you)

ReminderFox - expands your browser to also be an appointment book / alarm clock

SearchStatus - will provide you with lots of traffic and page information for your site (or your competitor’s sites)

SEO For FireFox - another tool for gathering information about web pages for analysis

AdSense Notifier - okay, this one doesn’t really improve my productivity but it’s fun to watch my earnings from adsense rise through-out the day

I believe I’ve downloaded and installed all of these right from Mozilla’s site, so you should be able to find them (and more) here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

If you can’t find one of them on Mozilla, just do a quick Google search using “Add_On_NAME firefox add-on” and you should be good to go.

Seriously, I use every one of these over and over again, every day, all day long and they save me hours of time by having them all available right on the browser.
