This should be short because it’s 2 in the morning and I haven’t left the office for the day yet. Yes, I’ve been here since about 8:30 this morning so what’s that… about a 17 hour day?
But that’s okay, these are actually the “good times” for my business in my mind. When I’m working these kind of hours it’s because there’s something big going on, like now where I’m involved in a really big project with a few friends. And when I get excited about a project like I am now is when I really love what I do for a living.
It won’t even matter if this thing fails horribly (to me at-least), because as I’ve mentioned before my favorite part of developing projects and sites is going from idea to functional application. The whole process of taking an idea, sketching out plans and thoughts on yellow legal pads, opening Notepad and creating code… getting it all to work together correctly and securely…. that’s my fun in this business.
Anyway, I know you probably don’t care about–or want to read about–what I’m up to, but I wanted to get a quick posting up to assure everyone (Jeff, Linda, Terry and all who contacted me) that everything is fine and I’ll be back to posting more regularly after this weekend.
I’ve just been consumed with this project the last few days because it’s about to launch and there’s always last minute tweaks to make or issues to jump on and that’s the stage we’re at.
So, I’ll be posting at you like normal again soon, and until then I hope you have a great and productive weekend.
