I know my posts have been a bit sporadic the last few weeks, between trying to squeeze some camping trips into my schedule and various business meetings the summer time is always like this for me.
I guess it’s because I can’t stand being in the office through these bright, warm days, but I’ve noticed that I seem to engage in a lot more face to face meetings with people in the summer over any other time of the year.
Which brings me to a web site I wanted to mention www.corporateplanners.com for others who may have to travel for business meetings. First of all, it’s a pretty awesome web site and worth checking out if you run–or plan to start–a service oriented business; but also it’s an awesome service and I highly recommend them if you’re doing any kind of corporate event planning or traveling for business meetings.
The way they operate is pretty unique and saves their clients money over making their arrangements themselves. Because they work so closely and often with vendors, transportation and hospitality providers they’re able to negotiate prices for clients that are up to 30% below normal. Then they add 10% back on as their fee, but as the client you still save up to 20% total over doing everything yourself–and you don’t have to worry about any of the details because they take care of everything to your specifications.
This is a great service for any business, but I think it’s especially suited to the small or home business owner who has the need for an occasional meeting or presentation because these folks make sure you make a first-class impression on your potential clients, partners or investors and save you money in the process.
