June 9, 2009 – The more WordPress adds the less simple to use it becomes, I look at this with two thoughts, “How cool is that, I’ve got a thousand new site ideas bouncing through my head”… and, “great, a new feature that requires digging through the code to make use of”…
Don’t get me wrong, I want more bells and whistles, I just want them to come with Easy buttons and keep life simple.

I agree with you on the taxonomies, the modifications under the hood to make it happen is a bit much. Just read elsewhere about a WordPress plug-in to make WordPress an engine for a forum. Again plenty of work to make it happen. Sometimes I think we are trying to make WP do too much. Though WP can be used as a CMS, it still is ultimately a just blogging software.
good info.thanks!
